About Juliette
Juliette Leach (they/she/he) is a storyteller, filmmaker and artist based on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (so-called Vancouver). They were born and raised on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Wendat (so-called Toronto), then moved across the country to attend the Film Production Program at the University of British Columbia.
Through film, Juliette tells stories that feel like home to them as a queer and genderqueer person, and strives to foster a feeling of home and belonging for others in their work too. Juliette is particularly passionate about exploring mental health and gender identity in playful, magical ways.
They are currently working as a freelance sound mixer and cinematographer. They are also a distribution coordinator for Shannon Walsh's "Adrianne & the Castle".
